Projects

After 35 years of pastoring, Bobby Hoyle “retired” and founded LendAHand Mission Teams in 2001. Bobby and his wife, Kathryn, work together to make each LendAHand Mission Teams trip run smoothly. Each mission is bathed in prayer, and God has blessed with His favor.

Previous Trips

Guatemala
June 29-July 8, 2006

A team of twenty-three youths and adults went to Guatemala from Trinity Worship Center in Burlington, NC. The object was ministry through evangelism, children’s ministry, music, drama, and dance. The goal was gloriously met as nearly one thousand children were ministered to in ten different locations. The youth from Trinity had a musical team that was fantastic. The dramas were powerful and effective. Over one hundred thirty teens from the local Guatemala congregations joined with Trinity for a week-end retreat. The presence and power of God was electrifying as the combined group became one in the Spirit. Many youth from both teams received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. Several dedicated themselves to a life of service in the Kingdom of God. The Trinity youth have already booked another trip for the year 2007.

El Salvador
June 8-17, 2006

Twenty-three persons went to El Salvador for teaching and medical ministries.  Two doctors, a pharmacist, several nurses, and many teachers all came from different places to minister together as one well-oiled machine.

Nearly a thousand patients were treated, and about eight hundred children were ministered to with the Gospel. Over forty thousand dollars of medicine was donated in addition to toys and hygiene supplies.  Our teaching teams trained about thirty-five teachers and had seminars for nineteen pastors.  The government supplied four security police.  Team members came from the USA, Columbia, Australia, Honduras, Guatemala, and El Salvador.

Guatemala
March 27-April 5, 2006

Bobby and Kathryn, along with Doug and Martheda, returned to Siquinala, Guatemala to put some finishing touches on a parsonage that was constructed May 2005 by LENDAHAND Mission Teams. Bobby celebrated his birthday there in true Guatemalan style. Kathryn and Bobby worked with the missionaries and local pastors to plan three more trips to Guatemala during this year.

Naco, Honduras
November 2005

Just outside San Pedro Sula, Honduras combined teams of 36 LENDAHAND Mission Teams went to Naco to construct an orphanage for forty street children. The trip was perhaps the most satisfying of them all. A medical team served numerous patients while the construction teams worked on two buildings. The children will begin to occupy the new facility in October.
